A member asked:

Since 6/24/21, i have had a sudden onset of now rapidly progressing symptoms such as severe muscle weakness in my arms and legs, light headed but not dizzy, fast heart rate, periods of increases then drops in blood pressure, and numbness in my brain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If these symptoms are precipitated by going from a sitting to standing position, paroxsysmal orthostatic tachycardia syndrome could be the problem. Otherwise you should consult a neurologist for evaluation and appropriate testing. If it's POTS treatment consists of increasing salt intake, wearing compression stockings, keeping hydrated & taking certain medications. A physician would have to see you.
