I have scoliosis (mild case). lately i have experienced lower back pain and tingling in my right hand. a chiropractor has recommended 3 visits a week for 12 weeks to correct the pain. is this suitable or should i see a gp?

Orthopedics: I suggest an orthopedic evaluation and an MRI of your LS spine. PLease avoid any manipulation until seens by a medical expert.

GP: You lived with your mild scoliosis since your teen years without this problem, so you know it did not trigger these symptoms before. Low back pain can occur in anyone with a back, for a multitude of reasons. Lower back pain would also have nothing to do with tingling in your hand. Until you have this sorted out by a MD I would avoid manipulation that could delay proper dx and treatment.
