Usually benign: Pseudopapilledema, or optic disc drusen as it is also known, is optic disc swelling that simulates some features of papilledema (caused by increased intracranial pressure) but is secondary to an underlying, usually benign, process. Extensive workup is usually not necessary but the headache should be further evaluated. For more info see: http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/1217393-overview
