A 41-year-old female asked:

I have been losing hair on the sides of my head kinda of like streaks one doctor said to use 10 percent minoxidil and the other said use a multi vitamin. the minoxidil seems to help on the front of my head. have not used it any where else on my head ?

Both may be right.: Minoxidil can address hair re-growth. Vitamins may address any nutritional deficiencies that are effecting hair loss.

you can use Minoxidil on your entire head. Put it directly on the "streaks" and "scratch it in" using a toothpick or a cocktail stick. BTW 10% is the male strength for Minoxidil, cheaper to buy in this concentration. Generic is the same/cheaperDilute it 50:50 with saline or another product such as RE:NU because you don't want to use a too strong solution and potentially grow hair on your face..
