A member asked:

Is 20 mg depo-modal with 2% lidocaine injection the correct dos for de quervain's? also from toxicity reaction what blood test would you order?

Correct: The dosages you describe are well within the range that would be used for your problems. There are physicians that also may prefer higher dosages of the depomedrol. Because depo is a steroid and it could elevate sugars in diabetes, I would recommend checking your glucose if you are a diabetic but if you aren't a diabetic, other tests really aren't needed. Good luck

De Quervians: The dose used really depends on the extent of the injection. Total volume injected is important. There is no fixed dose and it really depends on the exam and the doctor. Volumes and toxicity is not common.
