C diff: Depending on your full history & immune status, C diff can occur with many antibiotics but less common with Doxy unless that is what caused it before. How is your immune system & diet? This determines chance. Treatment of C. difficile colitis=with antibiotics, primarily vancomycin and metronidazole. Up to 10% of patients do not respond to a course of one of the antibiotics and require retreatment
