Ear infection not improving on doxycycline, dr suggested prednisone, however, i now have a uti. is it safe to start pred?

It's complicated...: First, I am skeptical you developed a UTI while taking doxycycline, which is active against the large majority of UTI bacteria. Vaginal yeast infections can be triggered by doxy -- maybe that's it. Prednisone would be fine for your ear, but can make yeast infections worse. All in all a complex situation.
