A member asked:

Can you pms for two weeks? and weight is up higher than what it normally is when pmsing?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Part of PMS seems related to progesterone, in the 2nd half of the cycle, two weeks, causing symptoms in some people. Prostagladin release from the endometrium causes symptoms in some. Also changes in serotonin levels in the brain contribute to the feelings. Each person can feel it differently.
