A member asked:

My mri shows no si joint damage at all. however my doctor and pt tell me i test positive for si joint dysfunction. who is wrong the dr. and pt therapi?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Neither: SIJ dysfunction is not visible on MRI because often it is inflammation which may by microscopic . You can have SIJ dysfunction with a normal MRI . It's actually great news that your MRI is normal
