See MD: You should visit a MD for a physical exam immediately. Your tonsils and lymph nodes being swollen with your fever would prompt a rapid strep test and rapid test for mononucleosis. Symptoms: Since you are 16 years old, please start by bringing this to your parents attention. Although this may be nothing more than a garden variety, upper respiratory infection - it would be important to rule out conditions like Strep Throat and Mono.
