A member asked:

How long does iud implants supposed to be inserted for?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on which IUD: The length of time an iud should remain in place depends on which one you have. The two most common ones available in the usa: the paraguard is effective for up to 10 years. The Mirena (levonorgestrel) is effective for up to 5 years.
