Dental pain ?'s: Use of Aleve to combat dental pain may not be sufficient to relieve the pain associated. See your dentist for treatment and a prescription of an appropriate medication for pain relief if an appointment is not possible.

An hour or so...: But the relief will be fleeting and temporary. If the toothache is caused by an infection, the pain meds will have minor if little effect. That problematic tooth needs to be addressed ASAP. Please call a local dentist for an appointment.

Aleve: Analgesics block pain signals, but do not cure the cause, which is probably infection. So in 30-60 minutes the pain should b ack off for a few hours, while all the time the infection is spreading. Please see your Dentist for safe effective treatment.
