I always get light headed during my menstrual cycle, my period isn't heavy but could it be iron deficiency?

No, rather your BP: You need first to check your blood pressure, which may still not be the cause, if that is really affecting you, better see your doctor during your periods for better evaluation, best wishes

Unlikely but possible: There are a lot of hormonal changes during your period and the loss of blood and pain levels could contribute to a drop in blood pressure therefore making you feel dizzy. If you have iron deficiency then the dizziness should be a constant daily feature rather than only during your periods.

Probably not : Most likely this is due to drop in blood pressure. Some women can get migraine with dizziness during periods . If periods are not heavy then your iron levels should be good provided you have s good diet . If in doubt get blood test done . Please see GP when symptomatic to confirm the diagnosis.
