PPI's and iron: although PPIs do theoretically make iron absorption more difficult, in reality they rarely cause iron deficiency. In your situation, it is more likely that any iron deficiency would be due to blood loss from the heavy periods. You should work with your OB/GYN and gastroenterologist to forge out a solution.
