I had lateral release surgery 7 weeks ago and i am still in pain, especially around my incisions. what is the average recovery from this surgery ?

Plan : It's should be ok right now. If not you better to discuss this with doctor who did the surgery.

Abnormal : Contact your surgeon and inform him that you still having and need re-evaluation. The incision site should have healed if no complications.

Varies: It varies somewhat, most patients doing well by 4-8 weeks or so. In some cases therapy with strengthening is needed to enhance and/or hasten your recovery. Don't hesitate to discuss with your surgeon.
