A member asked:

For uti caused by non-std bacteria, will it infect the prostate also while infecting the epididymis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: As a general rule, all bacterial UTIs in men are considered "complicated." Primarily because of their increased "potential" to not just arise from and affect the bladder only, which is the more common scenario in women, but to affect the kidneys, prostate, and epididymis leading to more serious symptoms, potential complications, and increased morbidity. Often a sign of an underlying problem.
