Not compulsory : If you are able to keep fluids up most diarrhoea from gastroenteritis (tummy bug) is self limiting and will settle. If longstanding problems then may not be a tummy bug and may need alternative. Suggest see GP to discuss/examine further and urgent medical assessment if persistent vomiting fevers chills worsening pain
