Nerve: Numbness typically means a nerve problem. If you have been kneeling or had a direct blow to the knee , then a superficial/skin nerve could have sustained some damage. Also, a "pinched" or inflamed nerve from the low back, especially around the L3-L4 or L4-L5 levels can cause knee numbness. If persistent, seek help.
