I'm 8 weeks pregnant, went to the hosp with spotting, cervix was closed. hosp did tv scan, saw baby, since been heavy bleeding/clotting. is it normal?

Heavy bleeding: If a fetus was seen at "8 weeks" of pregnancy, the active fetal heart should have been seen. Heavy bleeding after your history of "spotting" at eight weeks is not a good sign, of course. The causes of early miscarriage are unknown in many cases, but genetic abnormalities can cause same.
