No need for u/s: It is understandable to want to see baby when this happens but it doesn't change the recommendations as long as exam is ok. Make sure your obstetric provider knows about this.

WHAT DID they tell u: They should have gotten an OB consult or called your OB doc, either u passed eveything, or nothing ever developed, or have an ectopic pregnancy ( depends if u previously had an ultrasound with a baby and a htbeat) all of my pts get an us at 7-8 weeks so i knwo if it sisviable or not, u need to see your OB asap or go back to the er if heavy bleeding or bad pain before u see your ob.
