Cardiac awareness: Lots of factors influence heart rate. The availability of easy to use monitors has enabled people to pay close attention to these normal reactions. Exercise should cause the HR to go up. Unless heart rate changes are associated with more worrisome symptoms (chest discomfort, shortness of breath, dizziness/fainting) they are unlikely to mean anything bad.
