Likely a coincidence: This is a common misconception. Clinical studies have been done to investigate this. No increse in flu-like infections among healthy adults after a flu vaccine. If you are generally healthy, and happened to have gotten sick last year shortly after recieveing the flu vaccine, then no reason to fear that the same will happen this year again.
