Valid question: But sweat is not related to lymphtics, and antiperspirants don't stop sweating altogether, just reduces the amount of flow. The type of sweat glands differ in different parts of the body, those in armpits and pubic area are different from other parts and are responsible for major part of body odor. Alum was used before to help decrease blood flow to area hence reduce sweat flow and body odor
