Blocked ducts: Antiperspirant blocks sweat gland ducts. This can sometimes result in germs or oils or sweat getting trapped and causing a cyst. Regular deodorant doesn't do that. If the sweating is excessive, there are other ways of dealing with it that a doctor might explore with you. Look up hyperhidrosis.
