Hysterectomy ?: There are many choices other than hysterectomy, which is an overly utilized major surgery procedure. If the "reason" for a proposed hysterectomy is "bleeding irregularly" you should seek a second (or third!) opinion prior to agreeing to the surgery. Low dose hormonal therapy for most "reasons" , and may be a solution , especially at age 44.
