Allergy cough: Chronic coughing episodes can be very difficult to diagnose. About 90% of the time, they are due to asthma, postnatal drainage (allergies or infections cause this) or reflux; the other 10% of the time, rare conditions. Sometimes multiple common causes. You mentioned having allergies but not using antihistamines, nasal sprays, shots or avoidance. Have your sinuses checked + don't smoke! try a ppi.
