Disc: Its got to do with how the pressure affects the herniation - Staying in one position causes more pressure in one area resulting in more herniation. Moving around like when playing sport constantly transfers the weight distribution around so it is never in the same spot for too long. However the sport playing does cauase more injury and that is why it huts you more when resting - he is right -do pt
