Chronic postop pain: With this type of fracture and surgery, a little pain sometimes can be seen. An x-ray of the leg should be obtained if symptoms are worsening to make sure the hardware (screw) is in place. Bursitis and tendinitis may have developed and these can also cause pain in the region. Following up with your physician is recommended to at least obtain a formal diagnosis to get effective treatment
