Don't buy it: A lot of candy ingestion is a matter of convenience. If you lack the ability to avoid ingestion of candy, then try to develop a habit of not buying candy. Then it will not be available when you get the urge to eat it and that will help your avoidance.

Just don't eat,: I know, easier said than done. But to avoid candy, which is really really tasty, you just have to have a lot of will power. Candy is tasty and inexpensive and everywhere. You just have to accept that candy is unhealthy and avoid it as much as you can.
