A member asked:

I just got my wisdom teeth out yesterday, how long do i have to keep in gauze afterwards and how long will my throat be sore for?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Gauze: Your specialist Oral Surgeon's written instructions probably instruct that you continue to bite on gauze until bleeding has ceased. Also look for instructions about cold packs. Soreness will peak in about 48 hours, then begin to gradually back off. If you have problems important to call Oral Surgeon for appropriate answers.
