80 hrs since upper wisdom tooth and #27 molar have been removed. no pain, but tenderness. is it safe to have beer and a joint without risk dry socket?

Still risky: Dry socket will occur usually on or about day 4 or 5 post extraction. Smoking is the number one cause so I'd give it another day or two.

Boarderline: As both alcohol and smoking will inhibit healing, I'd give it a few more days. You're right on the borderline of whether or not you can do damage, so hold off just a little bit longer.
