Maybe infected now: Some bug bites get infected, becoming an abscess in the skin. One's primary care doctor can evaluate to see what is going on. There may be more than one thing happening, such as a second problem causing the headaches plus a coincidental bug bite. If there is a skin abscess, it may need to be opened so the infection can drain out (antibiotics may be needed if there is infection).
