Stop bcp: Breast tenderness may occur after stopping birth control pills but if prolonged tenderness occurs it's best to check with your obgyn. Breast tenderness is quite common just before a menstrual period and your body is gearing up to start the menstrual cycle, but you shouldn't have to put up with prolonged breast discomfort. Your obgyn is best qualified to advise you.
