A lot depends: on severity of your symptoms and progress since the injury. Definitive surgical treatment is menisectomy. You should discuss with orthopedic surgery specialist.

The treatment really depends on how old you are and what other underlying symptoms you have. If this is it, then surgery would be the best option. Really a good exam along with the MRI results will be able to give you the best answer.
