Yes it is a cancer: Adenocarcinoma is one type of common Cancer which can arise from any gland forming organ such as Breast, Colon and lung. If left untreated for a long time, cancer cells spread and can involve regional lymph nodes and later spread to the internal organs. I hope you are under the care of a cancer specialist(Oncologist) who can guide you further and offer the required treatments.
