No interference: It's a very common belief that alcohol interferes with antibiotics. It's an urban myth. Very heavy alcohol use can impair the immune system and interfere with recovery from infections. But alcohol in moderation doesn't interfere with any antibiotic, You didn't need to avoid alcohol, and it won't have any effect on nitrofurantoin or your UTI. Don't overdo it, but otherwise no worries.
