I started taking vagifem 10mcg last night because of vaginal pain etc. this morning my symptoms are worse and i have period like pain and pressure in lower abdomen, dizziness, nausea. will these symptoms pass or should i stop taking vagifem?

Vaginal estrogen: It takes at least a couple of weeks for vaginal estrogen to improve vaginal health and reduce pain during intercourse. Hang in there with the treatment -- this probably will improve fairly soon. Of course this assumes that low estrogen -- at your age, usually associated with menopause -- is the cause of your painful sex. If in doubt, check with the doctor who prescribed the Vagifem.
