Time frame: Depending on the extent of the wrist fracture and which bones are involved you are looking at a minimum of 6-8 weeks. I fractured my right wrist on April 21, still in severe pain, although healing. Orthopedic doctor told me at my age ( 69) I am looking at 12-14 weeks ( fracture of distal radius and ulna. I suggest a wrist splint and use of OTC NSAIDS like Aleve and any pain medication given.
