Salmonella treatment: The antibiotic susceptibility of Salmonella (and many other bacteria) varies widely from one part of the world to others. You'll need to check with your brother's doctor or someone else in your city or village for advice about which antibiotic(s) are likely to be effective. There is no way for anyone else to accurately predict this. Sorry.

Quinolone/macrilide : You could try antibiotics from the quinolone or macrolide family as these are nit likely to induce hemolysis in your brother. Where can you get them? Get them from your friendly family doctor after he/she does a stool culture. Best wishes for good health
