Probably OK to treat: If you're sure it's a yeast infection with typical symptoms (itching, irritation, scant discharge usually thick and white), there's no reason not to treat it with monistat or any other "azole" drug. If in doubt, check with the doctor who prescribed the ciprofloxacin. For sure get checked in person if you treat with monistat and it doesn't clear up in a few days.

Yeast: If this is indeed a yeast infection monistat should help. If after the treatment course of Monistat you are not markedly better you should see your provider.
