Yes: May expose to risk of infection which can further increase scarring. However if there is concern about the scarring when it has developed you may be able to consult a cosmetic doctor or plastic surgeon licensed in your area to look at options if there are cosmetic concerns.

Well: If you keep ripening a wound you may hinder the healing process and either heal very poorly or not at all you can cause a lot of damage potentially. Let the area heal and do not touch it
