A member asked:

Ablation of uterus, what are the chances of post op damage to the bowl?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Low: The ablation is performed inside the uterus, so only the lining of the uterus would be ablated. A complication of the procedure is perforation of the uterus. If this were to occur, there could be damage to the bowel. Overall, there is a very low likelihood of damaging the bowel with this procedure.
