A member asked:

Can i sell my child's cord blood to someone needs it.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doubt it: I believe there are federal laws that prevent selling of biological materials like the cord blood. Many cord blood banks pay for the acquisition and processing of this material to make it available for anyone who needs it, at cost. If you paid to have your kids processed & stored it is yours, but rules that cover body parts like kidneys would likely prohibit such sales. You might be able to donate it
