Yes.: A stroke (interruption of the blood flow to a particular part of the brain) can occur at any time. While it is unusual, it can occur during sleep when the brain is supposed to be resting. Generally, your blood pressure declines when you sleep and there is less change in blood flow, so the chances are lower; however, if there is a stroke, oftentimes it will be known right after you wake up.
