Still normal @ 6 wks: Nearly all fractures require more than 6 wks to fully heal. It is very common for foot/ankle swelling for several months after apparent healing. An elastic sock or even a brace may be required. Limited standing and elevation also is recommended as well. If there is pain with walking, a repeat X-ray/exam should be done.
