Not always: Individuals with diabetes can still get pregnant and deliver healthy beautiful babies. However, sometimes insulin resistance , which is the Hallmark of diabetes type 2 , can result in Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). PCOS can interfere with your ovulation which can affect fertility.

Not usually: Unless the severity of the diabetes produces a coma, then pregnancy is still possible under the appropriate conditions.
