Seems to be true: Type i diabetic males have a significantly lower fertility rate than the general population, even lower than female counterparts. Reasons include erectile dysfunction nerve damage causing mixture with urine and, lower sperm volume & dna damage to sperm. Clearly, this is not total infertility, but you are correct. It could be hard to impregnate a woman. Best wishes in your case.

No ?: You should be fine. However check free and total testosterone levels as well as fsh and lh levels. Abnormal levels in these hormones can affect fertility.
