Antibiotics: After more than a week of cough, discolored sputum or sinusitis type symptoms following a viral upper respiratory tract infection, I believe that a proper antibiotic would now be indicated. Your physician would have to examine you or at least take a good history of your present illness before he/she would prescribe an antibiotic.

Maybe: We would need to ask more questions but you can do a consult or see your doctor.

Get examined: TO see if you are likely to have a bacterial chest infection - in which case antibiotics may be helpful. And to exclude other possibilities such as asthma or sinus trouble which may need medication but not necessarily antibiotics. Otherwise if examining well may be viral in which case your system will likely fight back on its own and there wont be specific treatment. All the best.
