Hi, i had the flu around the 4th jan. didnt take anything thinking id heal in a few days. by the 8th my cough was so bad that i couldnt speak. also had a sore throat. i got meds for it but my chest feels ticklish still. should i worry?

Doctor can evaluate: A doctor can evaluate, if more than 1 or 2 weeks, or if worried. Cough medicines are for decreasing the urge to cough, due to tickling, mucus, or mild irritation in the throat. Coughing is normal when there is mucus lower in the throat, or coming from the lungs (otherwise, mucus might stay down there). Menthol lozenges +/- anesthetic in the lozenge can help. If wheezing, may need inhalers.
