Get treated: All acne can be treated. Since you're female, your physician can determine whether you have excess androgen and if so why. The oral contraceptive pill can end acne if it right for you. Topical benzoyl peroxide may not be enough; your physician can add a retinoic acid derivative and/or topical clindamycin, and adding a systemic antibiotic is the next step; Accutane only for the hardest cases.
